Facebook Twitter Yahoo Buzz E-mail Dexter actor Michael C. Hall revealed Wednesday he has been battling cancer, but said he’s almost finished with treatment and the disease is in remission.
Hall, 38, said in a statement he is lucky to have been diagnosed with the “treatable and curable condition” – Hodgkin’s lymphoma – and thanked his Los Angeles-area medical team for their skill in caring for him.
His spokesman, Craig Bankey, said Hall’s cancer is in remission but the actor will continue scheduled treatments.
Hall plans to go with his wife – and Dexter costar – Jennifer Carpenter to Sunday’s Golden Globes, where he's nominated for best dramatic actor and the show as best drama. He also plans to attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards the following Saturday, where Hall and the cast are also nominated.

Yeah there's books. That's what the TV shows are based on. So far, there are 4 books. Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Dearly Devoted Dexter, Dexter In The Dark and Dexter by Design

Re: Dexter
Season 1 was the best for me, second was slightly worse but third was the worst. However the fourth one really kicked ass, John Lithgow was by far the best of the main villains on the show (not taking anything away from S1). Ever since I saw Blow Out for the first time - and that was like 15 years ago - Lithgow was on my shortlist for a perfect villain.
From the other characters I like (or liked in case of their death) Batista, Doakes, Masuka, Quinn and Rita. LaGuerta annoys me from time to time the same as Debra. I never liked Lila or Miguel that's the main reason I rate seasons 2 & 3 lower then the other two.

I thought only the first season was based on the book and the other seasons were all original?

Re: Dexter
Season 4 was great. Only blemish was the Angel-LaGuerta romance. What a bore.

Re: Dexter
When they were still colleagues, the interaction between them was still mildly interesting. They don't seem to have any romantic chemistry though. Plus, everything happened so suddenly, which made it all the more unrealistic.

Totally agree. They are both great characters in their own rights (especially Angel) and deserved better that such a pointless and tacked-on storyline.

Re: Dexter
Fat Jesus on a bike, that four season marathon that I just finished was definitely one the best TV experiences I've ever had. The season 4 finale's final scene was bloody brilliant. It's gonna be a fucking long wait till September.
On a side note, I do hope the Angel/Laguerta storyline will lead to something relevant in the big picture next season. I'd hate to think that all this was done for basically nothing.

Yeah, even then its a much better storyline and plays out better then the book did. Theres a few big differences.
