It is by far the worst type of music to ever have existed. Its corny and vomit inducing.

Most of it was terrible music, but it gave us some hotties. Rachel Stevens & Mandy Moore

Re: Do you love Bubblegum pop?

Im surprised with the poll result because i expected the opposite.
Alot of people (Pop music fans) who loved this genre in the past hate it now and feel embarrassed that they used to listen to it and at the same time they say that the Electropop is much better.
I honestly dont know why they hate it, i mean the genre have so many great songs and makes you feel so happy and its so easy to listen to it (unlike alot of today music).
I became interested in music because of this genre back in the late 90s when the genre was so popualr with all these teenage girls and bands.

Another songs:

Britney Spears - Born To Make You Happy

Nikki Webster - Something More Beautiful

Aqua - My Oh My

S Club 7 - Bring It All Back

Backstreet Boys - Everybody

'N Sync - Its Gonna Be Me

By the way, i only know the Bubblegum songs from the late 90s and early 00s so if anybody know some good Bubblegum songs from the late 60s and early 70s, post it here.

Im surprised the vote is as close as it is. I figured the majority of posters here loved the bubble gum pop era of awfulness.

Actually the first hits of the Bubblegum genre IMO were by The Beatles in the early to mid 60's, though the term didn't exist yet; I'll post some later. Anyhow, 60s/early 70s bubblegum may have found a lot of its popularity as an escape from the political turmoil that began with the JFK assassination and escalated with the Vietnam War and the race riots in desperate inner city areas in the US. And bubblegum wasn't all white either, as the Jackson 5 had a few huge hits I consider in the genre, like:

Co-sign times a zillion.

I would kill myself if I had to listen to this kind of music for any substantial amount of time.

The first person to correctly name the composer of this little ditty gets a green dot from yours truly.

No clue, but that's definitely the amen break at the beginning. I've heard that break countless times.
