The grounds in my area are still pretty wet and lots of puddles.

is it likely that matches will begin on time?
if someone would say like 'for sure it will not begin before 3pm', i'd have enough time to get back home. otherwise i have to watch it somewhere else...
but for sure if i am staying it'll be raining all the time, and otherwise match will be played while i'm in the train...

The weather look better today, but there may still come some showers...

They are currently drying up the Arthur Ashe court, although it's still raining.
But they must have checked the weather forecast and think it soon stops raning.
