Re: USO series 2009
Nice to see her doing so well. Shahar & Wozniacki both playing great - should be a great match. Would be a huge win if she can take it.

Again no surprise there, but they'll need one in the next round.
BTW, Andy and Dudi will in Doubles QF meet if they'll win their next match, but at least in Dudi's case (miracle win in R1 then walkover, next Knowles/Bhupathi) it won't happen.

Not for long I fear
Kuznetsova can be so error-prone at times but unfortunately this wasn't one of them. She played like a top-10 player - well, when that ranking used to mean something Shahar was unlucky not to get at least to a TB in the 1st coming back from 1-4 and saving multiple BPs but folded too easily afterwards.
I'm curious what will her remainder of the season be like.
You need to update your sig

Re: USO series 2009
I didn't see the match, but I'm a bit annoyed at the result of the second set!
I feel like Shahar on her best would have stepped it up even more and turn it around.
Good effort at the first set though

Re: USO series 2009
I'm so sad for Shahar This match was very winnable with her form. She came back down from 1-4 deficite to 4-4 but then losing the first set 5-7 was just bad. then sveta just started playing outstanding. shahar was fighting as much as she could and i wish she would have won more games but she really fought till the end. i believe she saved 2 match points down 40-0 on sveta's serve.
good luck in doubles shahar.

If she wins her next 2 matches, and she should, I better start putting some money on those ranking projections of mine
|
Guess not I can't believe she lost 0&0 to a lesser player I didn't see the match and almost fainted when I saw the scoreline.

Re: USO series 2009
She's got to gain some consistency - beat players she's supposed to beat and the ones ranked a bit higher. It's looking like it's going to get more difficult to squeeze into the top 16 soon.

Re: USO series 2009
I don't set my goals for her that high, I doubt she does too. Squeezing back into the top 30 in say the next 6 months will be fine. When she gets there we'll think further.

I think that each of you were talking about two different players:
Archer(Peer)
Oside(Dulko)
