Yuliya Kalabina Cheering thread!
Yuliya Kalabina, a 19 year old Russian (born 27/3/90) is currently ranked at a career high 346 and after injury problems which forced her to retire while posting her best ever tournament result (Podolsk 2008 $50k) and then struggling in her first few comeback matches, she seems to be steadily and impressively rising up the rankings, gaining a new career high ranking off the back of the last 3 tournaments she has played. This week (May 18th-25th) she has done this yet again, reaching the semifinals of the 25k Moscow tournament (as well as the finals in doubles) and with that, pushing her ranking agonisingly close to the top 300, and with only 12 tournaments to her tally as of the 18th of May and the fact that many of them came as she attempted to wipe off the rust that had coated her game in the months she was injured, there is only one way to go for this young lady - up!
