Spätestens jetzt, finde ich, hat Sabine ihre "Vorschußlorbeeren" bestätigen können, eigentlich schon in Charleston, aber da konnte man sich nicht sicher sein, ob das einmalig war.
Ich finde das ganze Recht interessant das 2 Jahre später nochmal zu sehen!

Finde, dass die meisten doch für Lisicki waren (dazu diejenigen, die ich als Leute mit Ahnung hier sehe, und Fabi, der aber ja Lisicki auch Chanchen gab)...

Weil es so viel Kritik hagelt aktuell: Wenn man diesen Thread anguckt wurde bei Kerber, Lisicki, Petkovic und Görges das Potential unterschätzt.

Lustiger thread, aber schon toll das es alle erwähnten bis auf Malek bis in die Weltspitze geschafft haben.
Ein paar Sachen haben sich aber bis heute nicht geändert, Stichwort Konstanz

Ja schon recht interessant, was unsere Experten so prognostizierten. Die lagen z.T. sehr gut mit ihren Einschätzungen. Das mit der fehlenden Konstanz und Verletzungsanfälligkeit bei Lisicki scheint sich ja wie ein roter Faden von Beginn an durch ihre Karriere zu ziehen.
Vielleicht wäre so ein Thread für unsere derzeitigen Talente Beck, Friedsam, Witthöft (evtl. noch Pfizenmaier und Lottner) mal angebracht ?

What is the point of the discussion? Who will have the best career?
At this point it's Kerber, but I think it's her peak and she shouldn't be higher. Lisicki haven't play her goat yet. Maybe I'm a bit subjective, but Sabine will be better in the future.
Barthel will be great too.
Malek is and will be the worst.

I agree, but I hope I'm wrong and she can improve her service and return capabilities. In this case she still would have some potential.
The good news: she knows about and tries to work on it !

I don't agree. Lisicki has a lack of constancy over years now and for whatever reason this should improve in the future ?

I wasn't too bad with my prediction, pheeeew. 
I think most of us underestimated the young talents though, and it shows that you can only plan success to a certain extent - take Mirjana Lucic as an example.

Als dieser Thread eröffnet wurde, also im Februar 2007, waren die Weltranglistenplatzierungen der damaligen Talente wie folgt:
132. Tatjana Malek
161. Angelique Kerber
223. Andrea Petkovic
431. Sabine Lisicki
444. Julia Görges
Dazu gab es noch die damaligen U21-Spielerinnen Ostertag (Platz 290), C.Klaschka (Platz 313), Ozga (Platz 334), Siegemund (Platz 346), Sieveke (Platz 348), Schäfer (Platz 375), Perkovic (Platz 386) und Pavelec (Platz 492) in den Top 500.
