Next season is still not here,but maybe we can start posting here if we have news concerning the tournaments she'll play etc.

So does anyone know where does Aravane start her 2009 season? Auckland?

yes aravane will try to defend her 2008 points won in Auckland tournament.She was runner up.
She'll have to play qualies cause the field in MD is very good ranking.

it will be tough for aravane because many good players such as dementieva,wozniacki,petrova,srebotnik,vaidisova.. .

I hate the second round...

play against one of the academy is never a good deal

But match after match.... we will see...

i think she can beat danilidou who is coming back from injuries - if she shows up again as good Aravane anything can happen.

Yep it was an excellent timing and Aravane did more than pleasing us with her 63 36 63 win over Eleni

A very enjoyable match with lots of stunning winners from Aravane. She could really last long in the rallies and resist to changes of pace which is quite a positive thing. Even with Eleni being far from her best level, we can take this match as a good basis for 2009. Not so many silly mistakes, a very interesting willingness to finish the points at the net & few returns missed. Some errors at finishing points & shaky serves in the end are to deplore but overall, the 2008 finalist has been very convincing! Bravo

Aravane looked very fit & quick there, she has accomplished a very serious work on her shape. Respect for this, she has turned into a very hard-woker!
