Plays 18 y.o. Slovenian Fabiana Palcic (ranked 1051) in QR1 of Zagreb 75k today. Don't know much about either of them, but I sure wish Silvia all the best

Re: Silvia Njiric
She beat an unranked compatriot Roberta Gerovac in straight sets to set up a match against Lenka Jurikova (ranked 555) of Slovakia, who previously eliminated Ana Savic and Mara Zovko (both in straight sets), so surely a tough match for Silvia.
Good luck

Re: Silvia Njiric
Silvia will play her 3rd tournament ever next week, she got a MD WC for 10k Vinkovci!
If she manages to get a win there, she'll be ranked as of September, and it'll be at least around #970.
Top seed of that tournament is the only girl from top500, so I think Silvia could get a win or two under her belt.
Good luck

The main draw is out. In the first round, Silvia is playing a qualifier, Bernadetta Birkas. I've never heard of her but from her ITF page, Bernadetta is 20 y.o., unranked and hasn't won a MD match in nearly two years. She did, however, reach a career-high ranking of 762 in early 2006 and won two matches to qualify here.
It's winnable for Silvia, so good luck. It would be great to see her ranked!

I'd say very winnable, and the only thing that could cost her there is inexperience - let's hope that won't happen.

Re: Silvia Njiric
Silvia beat an unranked qualifier Birkas 6:3 7:5!
Next she'll play either Jovanovski (16 y.o., #882) or 5th seed Mirkovic (18 y.o. claycourter, #636, career high #518).
Good luck

It looks like Mirkovic withdrew because Jovanovski beat Lukic (SLO).
Jovanovski will be tough. She's 16 and very much looks like she's an up-and-coming player. This is only her third tournament of the year. She won the first one, last month in Prokuplje ($10K) as a wildcard and only lost 11 games in five matches She even beat the #3 seed 60 60! In her second tournament ($50K in Palic, last week) she lost a close match to Wienerova, who's ranked 250, 67(3) 36.
Good luck Silvia!

Re: Silvia Njiric
Looks like Silvia will play her 4th event next week, she's listed for qualies of Brcko 10k.
Hoping for a good draw!
