Re: Finally! Shahar dupms coaches!- Now, would you please look for a new one??
Wow!! Shocking!!!!

Siriously, I still don't understand what she is doing there instead of fining a coach.
She needs to find one asap, "even" withdraw from Estborn in order for doing so, and find a new one, better be Israeli and to build confidence in trinings and in a good relationship with her new coach. She can't come to Wimbledon with no coach, becuase that will end in another embarresing 1st round loss.. (So far she strikes 3..)

Txs for the quick update.
She hit bottom line, so there can be only an improvement.
Let's hope for the best.

I hope this improvement will happen fast, or else she will probably be out of the top 50 after the US open...

Not a word about him as a coach.
Prior to this news update I was going to write that at this rate she'll have 5-6 days a week every week to look for a new one

So how long do you think he'll be her coach?

Re: Shahar's coach watch! Welcome Martin.. *scared*
Well I'm not so sure she was agressive today. 2-6 2-6 against another slumping girl, Petrova.
I know I'm not exactly the optimistic queen, but still, I can't see her getting out of that slump if she just continue playing in such a low confidence. She has just hired a new coach, so I really thought she would'nt play Eastborn and instead she would practice with him, get to know the coach better.. It's Wimbeldon next week!..
And it's her 5th loss in a row...

As for the coaching change, I'll wait another 2-3 tournaments to draw conclusions. Was Wimbledon an abberation?
I wonder will Shahar need to wait for Tzipi to retire to understand that there is no-one in the world that is better for her than Oded Yaacov, even if he can't be with her 24/7.

I agree about Dedi.
Well I hope the Wimbly R16 easn't over hyped since it looks like it for now..
I hope Romek is a really good one, who sees what she has to do, working with her on being agressive and what to do in the net area...

I think she doesn't
I'm not sure if it;s called "fired" because in one interview she said they were supposed to practice together until USO and then to decide. but anyway, they don't work together from now on..
Emilio Sanchez is the red hot new option according to NRG's site

IMO, and according to her interviews, what she is looking for is primary a person who she can get along with. She needs a friend, companion who accompanies her around the world. Only in second place comes the importance of being a good coach.
The past has proven, that actually Shahar was playing her best tennis when those terms were fulfilled.
I don't know if Sanchez will able to meet her needs, if yes, Shahar will be able to produce her real ability again.

I dunno. I'd agree with you, but Shahar has some big problems in her game ATM (serve, FH, volley) so only a "good friend" won't do the job.
But I think the coach should be israeli becuase then, like you said, they'll get along better.
