Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!
Lost 3:6 3:6
Really can't figure it out what happened in that one, but hopefully it wasn't because of some injury or anything like that.
Next week she's 3rd in qualies for a 50k in France, so with a good chance to enter directly in MD. Hope she plays better there.

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!
Ana is back in action this week, playing a 50k in some French place I can't even spell (OK I'll try...Contrexeville ).
There are 2 Croatian girls playing that event (the other one is Vrljic) and they play EACHOTHER in the first round
So a tough job for Savic, hope she wins - nothing against Vrljic, but I always cheer for the underdogs
P. S. She's up to a career high ranking of 371 as of this week!

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!
Ana is 14th on the quali list for the $75K in Albuquerque two weeks after the US Open. Hope she plays--it would be her first time in two months, since mid-July.

Yeah, it's been a long summer break for her. Hope she comes back with some good play to show!

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!
Just two more withdrawals and she'll be seeded in qualies there - very possible!

Currently 8th in quali list!
She's also on Ashland 50k quali list for the week of 22nd. So just by qulifying for both of these she would go up some 30 places! And she's not defending any points untill late November.
Looking forward to next week's draws - Ana and Jelena P. here, Jelena K. in Sofia 100k, Martic, Sprem and Ozegovic in Mestre 50k!

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!
Albuquerque quali draw is out, Ana is 7th seed and in the 1st round plays 19 y.o. Lena Litvak; a girl ranked 492 (career high 465), who played just 4 main draws on ITF's bigger than 10k this year, and who's seasons best result is QF of one Mexican 25k that she reached from qualies. I think Ana should have no problems there.
Her opponent in QR2 will be the winner of Mami Inoue (29 y.o. ranked 989; career high 655) vs. Kim-Anh Nguyen (25 y.o. unranked, career high 531), which she should also win (even more easily), but in QR3 she'll probably have to beat the top seed of qualies, 20 y.o. Georgie Stoop, ranked 266, with a career high ranking of 254 - not an easy task to qualify for MD, but let's take it one step at a time
Good luck Ana

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!
Ashland 50k qualifying, first round:
(1)Sandy Gumulya (INA) v Ana Savic (CRO)
Yup, she drew the top seed Girl is ranked 257, has been as high as 228, played semis of a 25k this year and beat Casey Dellacqua in Fed cup.
Good luck Ana
