What's even funnier she's defended in GM by non-Ana fans. She's earned a lot of respect.

THAT'S what I was talking about in that longer,marathon post,Dex.The percentage of normal tennis fans who have animosity towards Ana is actually very small.Even many of those folks--men AND women--who have a different favorite player often think to themselves,"Wow,she really is sweet and beautiful!" She's the first since Evert who will truly have "Queen status" if she maintains the level of play within her potential.

ok, i gotta make one more post. when i started this thread in the frustrating moment after ana's early loss in miami i couldn't dream that ana's rise to the number 1 and her 1st grand slam victory would be documented here. and it was a strange journey from her rather poor start into the clay court season. but it's a nice feeling to go through the last few pages after her triumph.
