She lost 26 64 63. Weird loss, she was totally in control since 62 21. She got broken & after that, she barely won points on return. This is a ridiculous loss given Wozniak's rank. She has to learn to thrash girls when she comes as a favourite. She wasted a good draw again .

Aravane is playing Amelia Island this week, I hope she can finally have a deep run. Since the Australian Open, she has failed to win two matches in a row. This is high time to win points!!

So, she faces in 1st round a solid Russian player, Katya Makarova. This girl doesn't have many weapons from what I saw, but she showed she is capable of beating good players (e. g. Szavay, Daniilidou, Sugiyama). This is a pretty good test, I think. I am expecting a lot from Aravane on clay, she won't be as bothered by her problems on return as on hard. If she wins this first match, she would face Agi!

Aravane fails to reach 2nd round again despite a great fightback against Makarova. She lost 26 62 57 after being down 24 in the last set. She never manages to win those marathons, it's the third match in three sets she loses in a row. She is always nervous when the end of the match is coming .

Now her record after AO is 1/4. She needs to play in lower ITF to get her confidence back. She is certainly ready for those big events, but she needs to be surer of herself. I have the impression of being one year ago with all those early exits.
Too bad Aravane , it's so disappointing to see her out already. She makes tennis so exciting!

she won her opener in Chaleston 6-4 4-6 7-5 against Sequera, not that it'S an impressive scoreline but good for her confidence tghat she pulled through such a tough match keep going Aravane

Yes, I agree with you, this is an ugly win, she came really close to losing again to a player she should regularly beat but it's good for her confidence that she won in this way. It also shows Aravane's improvement as regards her physical conditions.

Thanks God, Sequera hit 2 DFs to enable Aravane to serve for the match. Congrats still on this hard battle against an experienced claycourter & on having defended last year's points.

She is likely to play Cibulkova now, I think she has a chance. She will suffer on her serve though. Allez!

Aravane is keeping her pathetic form , she lost to the wonderful Rodionova 63 64!! Amazing!

Honestly she has gone back to her old demons since she has been operated, I wonder what happened to her. She is still working with Mouratoglou's Academy so I can't explain why she is still struggling. Her next tournament will be Fes in two weeks,she will more time to prepare it. I'm sure she can do something better there, maybe she will return to the basis inside the Academy. Europe will be better for her I think.
