UK magazine-alert: Nicole in Ace (March 2007)
There is a three-page article about Nicole Vaidišová (including a full-page photo) in the March 2007 issue of British tennis-magazine Ace (pp. 26-29).
Starting with the French Open 2006, it discusses Nicole's life on the Tour, contrasting it with that of a typical 17-year-old, and presents plenty of quotes from an interview with Nicole.
e.g. "I'm 17. I'm not expecting to have a couple of Grand Slams or the No.1 ranking by now. It's a process. I've improved very fast. A lot of girls my age are playing the juniors right now... I don't want to set any time-limits; I just want to enjoy what I'm doing."
e.g.2. "At Wimbledon last year I was playing Zakopalová [née Koukalová] and she was showing me her wedding-pictures in the locker-room before the match. Then we had to go out and play."
e.g.3. "Sometimes I used to go crazy. When I was a little kid, about 10 or 11, I used to cry my eyes out, slam rackets all over the court and go psycho. But as you get older you definitely improve."
The article contains five photos of Nicole, but none that I hadn't already seen on the Internet.
