She just turned 19 (born Feb 24, 1994), so she's officially done with juniors now. :)

In juniors, she got a CHR of 56; and she's currently ranked 661 at the WTA, not far from her CHR (652).

She started her 2013 season in Egypt in February, playing 4 Sharm-El-Sheikh 10Ks consecutively. The first 2 weeks she lost in R1 (to (6)Skamlova and to (6)Mekovec) and last week and this week she reached QFs. :) This week she beat (WC)Ostojic and (8)Negreanu, serving a bagel in each match

She's playing in Sharm-El-Sheikh again next week  GL! :cheer::cheer:

She played in SEL again the last 2 weeks. :)

2 weeks ago she lost in R1 (she was Seed 8 and lost to (Q)Jillian O'Neill 6-2 2-6 6-7(3) :tears:)
Last week, she reached R2 - she was Seed 7 and beat (LL)Verena Schmid 1 & 0, lost to Rebecca Peterson 6-1 4-6 3-6 in R2 :()

Congrats to Elena for getting to the SF of the 10K Sharm El Sheikh, her first SF since October. She defeated qualifier Olga Doroshina to get there.

Now will face either another qualifer, Justine De Sutter, or junior SE Elise Mertens for a spot in the final.

Elena is currently at her CHR of #644. With her current results, she'll be provisionally around #600.

A bit disappointing that she was upset, although she was playing a current Top 10 junior. Still, you're right, it was a good week.

Back to it, same place, next week. :)

10K Bals.

Seeded #3, Elena-Teodora got to the SF after defeating #5 Michaela Boev, 63 64. It was her second SF of the year.

She then fell to Laura Andrei in three, 57 64 26. Now 0-2 against her.
