It's sad to see that she was on a career-high ranking just this past February and now you don't see her anywhere. Two months later she won her last match, against none other than her promising compatriot Ajla Tomljanovic. Then Ana disappeared, while Ajla went on to win 16 out of her next 24 matches, reaching almost as high ranking as Ana did in February. Fingers crossed that she comes back.

Ha! I had totally forgotten about Ana. Yes, she's quite good-looking--and showed promise too, rising as high as 273 (at age 20)

or more likely she had motivation problems.. with a looks and potential that she has I think it wouldn't be problem to find a sponsor

no, i doubt it was motivation. she would then probably play and stink.

Interesting! And we thought there wasn't much to expect of 2012 (based on how it started)

Well, Ana's comeback is off to an excellent start
In QR1 of the $10K Antalya starting this weekend she destroyed the #6 seed, Nicola Slater (#737) 61 61.
In QR2 she beat Taisiya Zakarlyuk (NR) 64 60.
FQR is against the #15 seed, Stefania Rubini (#1003). Good luck, Ana!
