article @ Junior Tennis.com about the Eddie Herr final: :)

"...
Over on court 10, two best friends from the Bollettieri IMG Academy duked it out for nearly two and a half hours for the girl's 12 singles title. Tara Moore of Great Britain came out on top against Tamaryn Hendler of Belgium, 3-6; 6-3; 6-3. Only hours before they were seen chasing each other around the complex, Tamaryn on a bike and Tara on a scooter, seemingly unconcerned about the big occasion ahead of them.

Afterwards both girls came to the interview, smiling and chatting happily about the match. Looking at their faces, you would never know who is the winner. "You have to put friendship aside, because it's still only a match and afterwards you are still friends," said Tara. Tamaryn nodded in agreement, and said, "It was hard, I mean, I didn't really think about it otherwise it would have affected me."

Locked in an even match at one set each and 3-games-all in the third set, the British player, whose father is from England and mother is from Hong Kong, stepped up her game and started to play more aggressively. "I decided I had nothing to lose," said Tara. "She was playing so well the first set, I just went for broke." Tara held serve at love, giving herself a monumental edge at this point in the match. She then broke, at 30-all in the next game, with two forehand winners for 5-3. Serving for the match, at 30-all, a couple of unforced errors off the Belgian's racquet closed it out. "I started playing more defensive and she took advantage of it," Tamaryn explained.

Nick Bollettieri, who has been seen all week enjoying the matches, said to the crowd after the match, "Twenty five years ago this would have been considered the 18s final." He also paid tribute to their coach, Percy Melzi who has done wonders for the girls' game for the past two years.

"I wanted to win this match for my Aunt Yvonne and a past friend, Scott Fu, my agent who helped me come here, who died of cancer, so I really want to dedicate this to him," said Tara, before leaving with Tamaryn.

Ranked 273 and hasn't played since USO Q1 6-7 7-5 6-7 loss to Hardebeck

My report:
Hendler-Hardebeck:
Tammy makes funny facial expressions between points . I watched a lot of this match. In the first set TB, Tammy blew 3 SPs. She won the second. In the third set TB she just folded and didn't play well. She fought really hard and I gained a lot of respect for her. I can't see her going too far in the future unless she improves which is possible because she is a hard worker and a fighter. Her fight is incredible even though she gets tight some times. She looked very sweaty and exhausted but she refused to give up. There was one game where she didn't really try hard to get some balls and she looked a little fatigued. It was a really long match, 7-6 5-7 7-6. I'm not sure of the match time but she was sweating like crazy. Both girls were really nice to fans afterwards. After losing such a tough three setter, Hendler was smiling and she had some relatives there or friends or something and she was socializing with them and one of them had a baby and I heard her say to the baby "and on the weekend we can go to the pool together". She seems very down to Earth and I was surprised to see how well she took the tough loss

I'd be shocked if she retired because she's so young and has been doing okay lately, and I was at her last match and she was in good spirits afterwards
That's the thing. Losing a Grand Slam match in a 3rd set TB and being in good spirits afterwards? You NEVER see this kind of reaction. That could only mean a big sense of relieve that finally everything is over.

She tweeted a pic of rain on a tennis court so hopefully she is just training

It looked very bad indeed ! I still don't understand why she hasn't played any tournaments in the last month(s) though, because it seems like she's been practicing for a while now and she hasn't been on the entry list of any tournament, so it can't just be the horseback riding accident... Does anyone know about her schedule for the next few months ?
