Preview
The Favourites
Despite having not won a title on clay so far this season, Kim's pedigree on this surface cannot be overlooked, she could have a tough time with some players unless she makes some changes, however that could lead to her taking away her strengths, Nicole was very impressive in winning Rome and seems like a future elite player, Myskina finally could capture the title too - provided she stays well away from Sharapova.
The Contenders
Sammy had an excellent win last week beating several elite players, but she has never made much impact on the biggest stages, Alicia has some good results on clay and because there are so few 3/4-acers, she has a genuine shot at doing well here, same reason for Vee, she has semi-final points to defend but with some luck could go even further.
The Dark Horses
The Dangerous Floaters
My prediction for who will win the title?
