She's 19 (she was born on Nov 22, 1993). She's currently outside Top 1000 (1062 this week), but she's been playing on pro tour for 2 years now, only every now and then.
She started her year this week at 10K Linkoping, where she reached QF, beating the Seed 5 in straights on her, only losing to the top seed and eventual winner.
This's been her best result so far, along with a QF at 10K Helsingborg last year.
She's playing Helsingborg this year again, she'll have to play qualies, starting this week-end. She's Seed 2 and will face Donika Bashota in Q1. Davayyy
Bad start of the year for Dasha. So far, she's tried qualies at Heraklion 10Ks 4 times, and only managed to qualify once (reached R2).
She's on the verge of being unranked now.
She's trying 25K Minsk qualies now. She's seed 14, has a bye in Q1. But she's in the same section as (5)Chloé Paquet, who won the 10K event in Minsk this week. Best of luck!
Oh wow, Dasha has been playing a few tournaments lately
- last month, she played twice the Antalya satellite: the 1st week she beat Sasa Klanacek 7-5 6-2 in R1, got thrashed by 5th seed Raluca Serban in R2, 2 & 0 ; the 2nd week she beat 7th seed Abbie Myers (WTA 790, CHR 472) 6-4 4-2 ret. in R1 , lost 1 & 4 to qualifier Suzy Larkin in R2
- and 2 weeks ago, she went through the qualies at 10K Amstelveen, and she upset top seed Deborah Kerfs (WTA 508) 6-3 4-6 6-2 in R1 :bolt: :spit:, but lost to WC Dewi Dijkman 4-6 7-6(6) 3-6 in R2
That's 3 very good wins for her, really! but too bad she couldn't back them up and flopped to nobodies each time right after But it looks like college has helped her game! :yeah:
She has only played these 3 pro tournaments so far this year, hope she plays some more tournies this summer
