Maybe it's easier to put all the results of our juniors in one big thread. Now it's quite confusing if they have to be placed in the weekly result threads or in their personal threads. Putting them in one single thread makes it much more clear in my opinion... I hope

I thought when the Belgian girls De Sutter, Benoit and Liebens won the U14 European Winter Cup this year it was only the 2nd time Belgium had won after 1996 with Kim & Justine.
But they won in 2008 with Mestach & Bonaventura as well? Or what competition was this?
Beligium definitely has some nice junior players now. I think a big part is how the number of kids starting to play tennis increased a lot suring 2001 to 2005 when Kim & Justine were at the top. Of course the more kids that start the greater the chance 1 or 2 will go far. I think in Yanina they have a good leader as well, she has shown what hard work can bring. Of course though it is far too early to tell how these girls will go. But I am definitely going to follow some of them to see

An-Sophie won the semi-final against the Romanian Dinu with 6-3 and 6-4.
So, again a fianl in a G4 without having lost a set so far.
She'll enter the top-400, with only 3 tournaments played that count...and she isn't 14yet. Next week she'll play in Luxemburg a G2, she received a WC. It will be interesting to see what she can do there.
I checked what Tammy did before she turned 14. She also won two ITF's under 18, but in Morocco. I think though that a G3 and a G2 in Morocco equal a G4 in Germany... so, I believe those two are "at a par" so far as what achievements are concerned. Of course, the road is still long for An-Sophie, but she is doing quite well so far.
