Lenka has not been given the easiest draw in Seoul, she directly plays the top seed, Maria Kirilenko!

BUT this may not be as bad as it seems. First because Lenka plays with lots of confidence and self-belief. Then because Kirilenko has a pretty weak game in term of power, she is only dangerous when she comes to the net. On the other side, Lenka has this top spin forehand which is really fantastic. Since it is played on rebound ace, a surface that favours spin, I really think she can make a good match here :).

Lenka's quarter in Seoul :
[1]Maria Kirilenko (RUS) vs. Lenka Wienerova (SVK)
Lucie Safarova (CZE) vs. Qualifier
Camille Pin (FRA) vs. Qualifier
[WC]Han Sung-Hee (KOR) vs. [5]Pauline Parmentier (FRA)

Good luck :D:yeah:.

Well it's hard to judge about good she is on hard ... since she always avoids playing on this surface :eek::lol:.
But I insist on the fact that this is rebound ace, hopefully it will change everything :angel:. I really hope that she will play well, it would motivate her to play more on hard. Anyway if she wants to improve and get into top 100 it's a must!!!! ^^

Wow that hurts. :eek::sad:
I was a bit too optimistic then, but I'm sure that something prevented Lenka to play her game. Pressure maybe, I don't know ... She must feel pretty disappointed that her first experience ends up being a beatdown. I feel really sorry for her, I was so sure that she would make a great fight out of it :sad:.

Anyway there are so many weird results in this tournament, Dubois defeating Pin, Makarova defeating Paszek ... Everything is against what I predicted :lol::(

Indeed. :help: She never managed to hold her serve! :tape:

Lenka's next tournament is either Joue-Les-Tours (50k) on hard or Jounieh (50k) on clay. We all know what happened in the last tournament that has been played in Lebanon, so I really hope that she will play in France. It would be an occasion to test herself on hard court on a smaller level.

Ok, you're right anyway because she will be the 5th seed there. Didn't notice that!!! That's cool for Lenka :). The other contestants are Zec-Peskiric, Yakimova, Voracova I guess we won't complain about another title then :p!!
Let's just hope that she practices on hard during the winter break :lol:!

Didn't know it either :eek:. That's a pitiful loss :help:. Shame that she wasted this opportunity of scoring easy points...
I hope it's just an accident and that she will soon find her best form ... if it could be before Bratislava, it would be better. ^^
