There are no organized events on most of the Continent as the curtain of war drops down on the tennis stage. Suzanne has a distinct advantage in being able to continue practicing in peace on the Riviera during the conflict.

FI: d Mme SA Puget/GM Simond 1-1 retired

The event aided the South african Ambulance Hospital in Cannes. Simond hurt his ankle and had to retire in the final.
