Re: The Danes are coming - Danish juniors thread

This is the planned ITF schedule for Emilie according to the Danish Tennis Federation:

Code:
Date Tournament Country Grade

03 Mar - 09 Mar LTAT ITF Junior THA 1
11 Mar - 16 Mar 23rd Sarawak Chief Minister's Cup MAS 1
14 Apr - 20 Apr Open Istres Ouest Provence FRA 2
21 Apr - 27 Apr 19ème Open Int. de Beaulieu-sur-Mer FRA 1
19 May - 25 May 55 Trofeo Bonfiglio ITA A
01 Jun - 07 Jun Roland Garros Junior French Championships FRA A
22 Jun - 27 Jun Nike Junior International Roehampton GBR 1
28 Jun - 06 Jul The Junior Championships, Wimbledon GBR A
But this doesn't mean that she's going to play all of these tournaments. Some will most likely be skipped (and others might be squeezed in). But it doesn't seem like she'll participate at any of the three Danish grade 4 ITF's during the 1st half of 2014.

Then there is the Fed Cup (February), possibly Danish indoors Championships (in March, coinciding with the South East Asia ITF's), possibly Danish U18 indoors (April, if she skips the French ITF's), and of course the European U18 Championships (July).

The outdoors season starts pretty late in Denmark (May), but I expect her to play a few tournaments in Denmark during the summer. It'll be nice to see Emilie competing with Grage, Barbat, Jespersen and others (she's never beaten Grage or Barbat, of course, so her performance against these is a good measurement of her development)!

Will 2014 be the year when she plays her 1st pro tournament?
