I don't think there's a chance Maria would hire someone like Hingis or Dementieva. I'm sure she has respect for them as players, but she's not going to listen to people who were peers and competitors of hers. In the back of her mind, I'm sure Maria believes she's a superior tennis player to both and wouldn't be receptive to criticism or advice from either. I think the only female Maria would respect as a coach would be Billie Jean King, but at her age, she's not exactly a candidate to do any coaching.
