It's kind of like getting a "Like" on Facebook almost. Or an "upvote" on Reddit. If you like what someone said you can give them good credit/reputation.

As far as I know I don't think you can redeem it for anything. Ever since I spent the $25 to become a lifetime member it seems I get credit/reputation just for posting in a certain thread. I once edited a comment for a spelling error, and I had 3 more credit/reputation after I did the edit Maybe since you spent money TF gives you more, I don't know
