Barbora Miklova (CZE) d. (7) Emma Rønholt (DEN) 61 60

Francati Bad scoreline for Rønholt in the QF but still a good tournament (easy win against Juliane Triebe - the girl who defeated Ulrikke in R1) . Julie Noe and Ulrikke can't be happy with a 1st round loss. I have no idea what has happened to Simone since 2011. She's in a slump of Wozniackian proportions. Keep working! You'll get there!

It's a pity, though, that the best Danish girls are not playing doubles in Odense. Rønholt/Francati have played three ITF doubles tournaments as a team in 2013 - winning two titles. Simone Alipieva has won three ITF doubles titles in 2013 (two with Ulrikke Høyer). And Ulrikke has one more final besides her two double titles with Simone in 2013. There are only four ITF junior tournaments in Denmark each year; surely we would expect them to play doubles on home soil? Yet the most succesful doubles girls are not playing doubles in Odense? Simone/Ulrikke or Francati/Rønholt would probably be favourites to take the title. Weird.

Emilie Francati is up against (1) Priscilla Hon (AUS) in the SF. Will be tough. Good luck
