It's going altogether in 2015 (replaced by Nottingham international on grass the week after the French Open instead). Logistically this leaves a pretty bad situation. Right now the 2015 build up to Roland Garros looks like this (it's not finalised so this could end up being rubbish if they do change it) :-
And that is it. That is ridiculously bare. Most weeks of the year when there are internationals going on, there are 2 or 3 tournaments going on at once (in fact apart from the 3 listed above, during every other international there is another tournament going on somewhere). Those 3 internationals in stand alone weeks will have packed fields by international standards. So if you are ranked #80, the only event you will have any chance getting into directly is Marrakech, it will be pretty tough for you to get good warm ups before Roland Garros.
