Could be, but it's too soon to say. I think that he realizes that he can't play at a consistently high level anymore for a whole year, especially not with the back problems he's been having, so he has to pick his spots. But from now on up until and including the USO he'll play a full schedule. I think he's just using the claycourt swing to get himself into match shape again. I don't think that with Nadal and Djokovic in the draw the FO is a priority, although he wouldn't pass up on the opportunity to win it if it should present itself of course. But I think he hopes to peak at Wimbledon, the USO series and the USO itself. Not playing a full schedule until now was a gamble, but we'll soon find out if it was one worth taking.
