Maybe you're right that 'specialist' was too complimentary considering that she's never won a title and has rarely,if ever,gone deep at red clay Premiers;she's mostly done well at clay MMs.However,it IS her favorite surface by far and,though Caro is more talented,her clay success has been more sporadic.Now that Caroline can't even win consistently on her former BEST surface,we really can't expect her to win much on clay,even vs. someone with MM credentials there.Caro's best bet for a clay win would probably be against a slow mover who's almost immobile on that surface.
