i guess they like it dramatic in hispanic countries
i'm sure the dramatic voices in hispanic telenovelas contribute most to their cheesiness. it's not like the american or any other soap operas are more intellectually demanding. in all honesty, i do think that at least in the brazilian telenovelas you can find more comical stuff which makes them more watchable even if you hate stuff like that.
