I would say that the VW ad makes fun of a stereotype which has become it's own entity apart from race. At the same time, the irony of the ad is derived from the implication that a stereotypical Jamaican (who is typically Black), has no place in a corporate setting. Bottom line: I couldn't tell you.
I don't recall that flavor.
