Re: Tennis Tipping #3 | Australian Open | Friday OOP is out! Deadline: 11am

Match Previews

00:00 | chenhw (FIN) vs. Vefci Y (CHN)

H2H: chenhw 0 - 0 Vefci Y

Two unseeded players, who never faced each other before, will fight for a QF spot of the first GS of the year! But who will make it? chenhw from Finland or his Chinese opponent? chenhw had a tough match against the Austrian No1 and is still alive in doubles as well so Vefci Y will be the fresher player. An big advantage for sure in the Australian heat!

00:00 | M.P (HKG) vs. Rui. (POR)

H2H: M.P 0 - 0 Rui.

Experienced Rui from Portugal against M.P will be another interesting match. Many people gave up on Rui already, it seemed like his best days are already over but this could be a great comeback for the the little guy from Portugal. But it won´t be easy, M.P is one of the dangerous Asians and he had one of his biggest wins here when he upset 9th seed AdeyC in 1st round.

00:00 | Dementieva_Dude (CAN) vs. 1987518LPF (CHN)

H2H: Dementieva_Dude 0 - 1 1987518LPF

Matches:
Toronto 2009 2009-08-17 R64 1987518LPF def. Dementieva_Dude 8-7

Big battle of two Elena Dementieva fans. Dementieva_Dude from Canada is one of the older TT players and his life is not always easy as he is the doubles partner of bitchy and arrogant Paul. But this time he is the one in the spotlight! Will he be able to take the next step? His Chinese opponent is really dangerous and should be full of confidence after beating Olympic Champion Mateusz in the previous round.

00:00 | Vincey! (CAN) vs. ESimp (CAN)

H2H: Vincey! 1 - 1 ESimp

Matches:
Rome 2012 2012-05-12 R64 ESimp def. Vincey! 9-9
Buenos Aires 25K CH 2011 2011-12-03 R32 Vincey! def. ESimp 9-7

Match of the day! Canadian oldie Vincey versus one of the biggest newcomers of the game! Vincey is playing a great tournament here, still alive in singles and doubles but he will have a hard time against his friend ESimp. ESimp won his 1st round match against 7th seed Igorche but seemed tired in his doubles match yesterday after many hard matches. Will he be able to recover and show a good fight? Be ready for the 1st match in the RodLaver Arena.

00:00 | Chilenaitor (CHI) vs. (19) xieergai (CHN)

H2H: Chilenaitor 0 - 0 xieergai

Chilenaitor is for sure one of the biggest surprises of the tournament so far.
In 3rd round he won a high quality match against 6th seed Nicolas but he also is still in action in doubles. Xieergai, his opponent, took advantage of the weak draw so far. The 19th seed reached the 4th round here without any problems and is hungry for more, his unusual game style could be a problem for the newcomer from Chile...

00:00 | (Q) Soliloque (FRA) vs. Elzy Gano (CHN)

H2H: Soliloque 0 - 0 Elzy Gano

Bruno aka Soliloque is one of two qualifiers left in the draw. The confident young man from France is playing a great tournamet so far and surprised many people here. His idol is Nicolas Kiefer and we have no doubts that he can be that successful as well. Elzy Gano wants to stop that dream run for now. The Chinse player seems to be in good shape, eliminated sucky and old 4th seed Michael before and plans to stay longer in Melbourne.

00:00 | Håkon (NOR) vs. Tomek. (POL)

H2H: Håkon 0 - 2 Tomek.

Matches:
Phoenix 75K CH 2012 2012-11-06 QF Tomek. def. Håkon 7-6
Sydney 2012 2012-01-06 R16 Tomek. def. Håkon 9-9

The sexy Norwegian hunk, as his doubles partner calls him, against TT legend Tomek. Definitely one of the biggest highlights of the round. Who will win that fight? The favourite here is Tomek for sure, leading 2-0 in the H2h and also still alive in doubles, shows that he worked hard in the off season and is ready for it but he has to be careful. Håkon showed some great shape here as well and surely wants more.

00:00 | (Q) F4CU (ARG) vs. (2) LCS (POR)

H2H: F4CU 0 - 0 LCS

Last match of the round. U could call it David vs Goliath! World no2 and defending champion LCS from Portugal vs qualifier F4CU from Argentina! But our hero from Portugal has to be careful. The Argentinian did really well so far and has no pressure at all but the experience could be the biggest advantage for LCS here. He had some problems last year after his big success in Melbourne but he found his shape again in time it seems. But he has to stay concentrated, otherwise his dream about defending the title could be over soon...
