The world No.2 landed in Brisbane this morning ahead of the Brisbane International and the first Grand Slam tennis tournament of the season in Melbourne.

She refused interviews at the airport, saying only she was free of the neck injury that forced her late withdrawal from an exhibition match against Caroline Wozniacki in Seoul.

The injury scare had sent jitters through organisers of the Brisbane event.

The Russian has been billed as one of the draw cards alongside Serenade Williams, world No.1 Victoria Azarenka and men's star Andy Murray.



She has twice been a late scratching from Queensland events, the most recent being earlier this year when an ankle injury forced her out.
