I have recently become obsessed with strings and as far as my reading on the internet goes, Aravanecaravan is 100% point right in every point. As far as my experience goes I have only played with Dunlop Silk which is ok, but moves a lot and loses tension soon. Also I have had a hybrid of Dunlop Explosive and Babolat Synthetic Gut which was good enough for spin.

If you want more spin, you should definitely go for a thinner string. As far as the info on this site goes, the textured strings are the best for spin.
