Even though I know some will disagree with me, I do still feel slow hardcourts are a bit better surface for her than clay, but obviously there's less competition on clay so she should have a good chance at RG again. I think this year proved that there's nothing about the US Open surface that doesn't gel with her game, although she'll probably need the stars to align in terms of the weather for her to win it again.... Wimbledon is the least likely by far.

I completely agree with Wimbledon being the least likely for her to win again, and let's face it, USO is one windy mess, as we had an amazing chance to witness this year

Her best shot lies in the FO I believe. I always thought that if she was gonna win a Major after her comeback (yes, in rare moments a la post Miami I had my doubts, and I'm not proud of it

), it would be RG. She has learned how to slide (well, not on the FH side, but she'll get there

), her movement is a lot better on clay, and honestly, the fact that she is now basically considered a clay courts specialist speaks enough of the competition on the surface

It's just, you need to learn how to play on clay (if you haven't grown up on it ofc), and I have no doubt in my mind, that a few years from now, Vika and Petra (if they remain on the top, and I can't see why they wouldn't) will drastically improve on the surface.
But, anyway, she has an amazing shot at the AO as well, it is definitely her best surface along with clay (I just can't write clay off after this year

). Vika will be under pressure next year as a defending champion, and we've witnessed in this final that she is not yet as mentally strong as some suggest. Her feisty spirit can only get her so far at this point

So, Maria definitely has a big chance at this next Slam, provided that she doesn't meet Serena along the way. It's not that I don't believe she can defeat her with her game, but I just don't trust her head when she's playing Sarin
