I agree with you however it may only be a NCAA Chmp thing, so everyone can relax.
College women can do well against top WTA 200 players, and still their choice is to get the education (at least before this massacre). Just the Stanford girls playing the tour this summer have over 10 wins over top 200 WTA players. But they value college.
