Last week Valentini played a G2 in the Netherlands, where she reached the quarterfinals. This week she played a G1 in Germany where she qualified with ease. Unfortunately she lost in the first round of the main draw to 14th seeded Bernarda Pera of Croatia (Junior #88, WTA #696) in 3 sets
. But once again she has shown how much potential she has
. In the same tournament, Valentini reached the doubles QF with Akkerman of Canada. Unfortunately they lost in the STB against the #6 seeded team, but still QF of a G1 is great, even if it is doubles. I bet Valentini could do much better in doubles if she plays with better players, since it seems that she always plays with mediocre ones. Anyways, Valentini is currently at a junior career-high ranking of 204 and she will move up a few more spots next week
