Well, our system is a bit of a mess tbh... Not sure how yours works so I can't really compare them. At my faculty we have to choose one language as a major and we have a number of obligatory courses in our major (such as phonetics, literature, translation, etc...). We also have elective subjects (1 other language and some subjects from other fields)
