@Gaspa Have you seen the movie? It was quite known back then but you were probably still a toddler when it was shown.
In case you haven't, the poem was recited out loud in class by Julia Stiles' character as an assignment. It was meant for Heath Ledger's character and he was also in class when it was recited. They were kind of mad at each other at this point of the movie, hence the theme of the poem.
Anyways, I thought you might appreciate it more if you knew where the poem came from.
Love is an open wound,
each time you think an hand
has come for that to heal,
it's about time it starts to bleed
Such a bittersweet poem.
