Re: Performance of top seed at Grand Slam singles tournaments

Here's the performance of top women's singles seeds at the French International Championships / French Open. The top seed has won the tournament 32 out of 81 attempts but only twice in the last 19 years. Martina Hingis (1997-2001) failed to win this tournament the most times as the top seed (5). Margaret Scriven Vivian (1933) is the only unseeded player to have won the title.
