Angie Kerber, from here?

What a year for Angie, right?

Before 2016, I think most of us would have given her very little chance to emerge from this era as one of its top players. But now, she's certainly moving towards a...

Re: 2016 Wimbledon F: Serena df Kerber 75 63

Fabulous stuff from Serena today! Angie pushed her and Serena never caved. A worthy performance for #22.

Re: Wimbledon SF : Kerber routines Venus 6-4 6-4

It's really awful, the way some of Venus' fans are behaving. I look at her run here as a serious achievement. I'm proud to be a women's tennis fan when I see what Venus does for her legacy and for...

Re: WWW 2016 Wimbledon F: [1]S.WILLIAMS vs. [4]KERBER?

If Angie sorts herself out and plays freely, which I think she can because all pressure will be on Serena, I think she can make this a much tougher contest.

Having said that, Serena has looked...

Re: Wimbledon SF : Kerber routines Venus 6-4 6-4

What's the problem, exactly? Isn't winning a match on a break in each set considered routine?

Re: Wimbledon SF : Kerber routines Venus 6-4 6-4

So excited for Angie! Who would have thought that two slam finals in a year would be in the cards for her?!!??

Proud of Venus, too, for being a shining example for the rest of the tour. There's...

Re: 2016 Wimbledon QF: [3] Kerber def. [5] Halep 7-5 7-6(2)

Angie played really well in the second set until she got the break. Then it was a seesaw from there with Simona looking like she might eek out the set. In the end, Angie too solid in the TB when...

Re: Wimbledon R2: Kerber def. Lepchenko 6-1 6-4

I quite like her Wimby outfits so far, actually, but I can't with the extra ruffle at the hem — so unnecessary and unflattering — from round one.

Re: Wimbledon R2: Genie Bouchard brexits (16) Jo Konta 63 16 61

Genie played wonderfully in that third set against a tough opponent. I was impressed with how she closed that match out. She could be dangerous to come out of this quarter.

Re: RG Final Muguruza takes 1st GS title def Serena 'lost 2 GS Final in a row' 7-5 6-

Great match from Muguruza. I thought that perhaps the occasion would lead her to make many errors, but she really controlled her game well and dominated most of the rallies. Good for her....

Re: RG R4 (8) Timea Bacsinszky def (9) Venus Williams 6-2 6-4

Lovely win for Timea. She played some great tennis to soundly defeat Venus. Great tournament for Venus, though, to reach the fourth round of Roland Garros.

Does this mean that you're going to make another one after the fourth round has been played?

Re: WWW RG R4 (2) Agnieszka Radwanska vs Tsvetana 'Claykova' Pironkova

Will be interesting to see how this pans out. Aga's not exactly in love with clay and Pironkova is the textbook definition of a dangerous floater. I'm not sure I'm as confident in Aga's chances as a...

Re: WWW WTA Rome

Considering Halep was losing to players like Shuai Zheng not too long ago, I would consider stringing along six wins over players ranked inside the Top 75 a return to form. But, yes, it'll be great...

Re: Anna Karolina Schmiedlova situation becoming a serious problem:Coach/Team to blam

Sometimes that fuss would have been worst for her as that adds more pressure.

She is 21. If she can work her way out of this funk, she could still have a great career. Her 2015 was fabulous. And...

The top two seeds have really tough quarters. I'll go with back-to-back title runs for Halep.

Re: Your 1 WTA Tour Fix?

Also, why is it ok for you to be wrong 200 times on clay but you can only be wrong three times with Hawk-Eye? Isn't it the same thing if you're disrupting play withe every request?
