Re: BOMBSHELL: Ash Barty is BACK!

I actually think she could make it to the top 100 in singles. I always saw potential in her. She's a crafty, talented little player.

As far as doubles, I don't think there's a limit. She could be...

Re: Interview with Nadia Petrova

She would still be able to rock the court in doubles. She should've achieved much more in that discipline considering how good she is.

Re: Switzerland defeats Germany 3-2 !!!!!

ALG's game still consists of pure power, just like it did when she played singles. There were days when she was incredibly awesome at it and then there are days like today when she plays like a...

Re: Breaking the bank - interview with Nicola Slater

I would definitely do that if I were a not-so-talented medium level player just wanting to live the dream for a few years, but eventually you'd have to get out of the Satellite level in order to...

Re: Breaking the bank - interview with Nicola Slater

I've been following Slater's career for years and even though you have to admire her will, the girl is delusional about her skills. She's just not good enough to be a decent player and it's OK if she...

Re: $100K Midland R1: Naomi Broady (GBR) d. (6)Nicole Gibbs (USA) 64 76(4)

Which is completely understandable after the way LTA screwed her over.

Re: Can we talk about Serena's amazing post-match reaction?

She showed true class with her reaction. It looked like despite the loss she was sincerely happy for Angelique, which is really impressive coming from such a great champion. We all know how badly she...

Re: $25k Sunrise QR3: Ruse def. Robson 4-6 6-2 6-4

Being married to Stepanek can be considered a career threatening injury though :oh:

I don't know what's up with Laura  She looked like she was bound to recover her former level when I saw...

Re: The moving story of Teliana Pereira: from a room with 7 siblings to Olympic dream

She may not be the most talented girl out there but she's sure made the best out of her tennis. I've watched her play in $10K and $25K tournaments and the fighting spirit was exactly the same as the...

Re: Auckland F: Sloane Stephens [5] def. Julia Goerges 7-5 6-2

Sloane is a natural born athlete and belongs in the winner's circle. I'm glad she's been able to overcome last year's slump.

Re: Auckland R2: (Q) Paszek def. (4) Kuznetsova 6-2 6-3

You never know with Paszek. She might be back to her once promising self or this may be her one good tournament of the year.

Re: Players who never retired AND never gave walkover in the whole career

Camila's record is impressive. Especially if you consider how powerful her game is, her body and how prone to injuries logic tells you she should be. It really speaks well about her flawless...

Re: Where are they now?

Worst than that was her record in finals (3-10). She lost her first 7, then won Strasbourg 3 years in a row and lost the following 3

If I remember correctly Panova had been diagnosed with some sort of schizophrenia in the latter stages of her career. Hopefully she's doing OK now.
I've always wondered what happened to Barbara...

Re: OFFICIAL: Federer/Hingis happening at Rio Olympics

Well, if I was Federer I would dump Martina, clone myself and have a romantic getaway with my other me.

But that's only me, and I'm probably a little bit biased.

Re: These countries should have WTA tournaments

As much as I would love a tournament being held in Argentina I just don't see any interest in having one. Besides, currency is an issue here with our peso being devaluated and holding a tournament...

Re: Laura Robson not competing again this season

It's not as if there were many tournaments left in 2015 for her to play. If she's taking some time off to seriously train and come back strong in 2016 then good for her. Otherwise I'm afraid she...

Re: TF fave bagel girl Alexandra Riley wins maiden title

I kind of feel it for her. It can't be easy pleasing a father who is a world-class coach.

I would say her results are a league beyond a bagel girl. She's just a journey woman nowadays.

Re: Beijing F: (1) Hingis/Mirza def. (6) Chan/Chan 6-7(9) 6-1 10-8

I wonder how much sponsor money is going into that partnership :oh:

It's so good to see Martina and Sania dominating. It just feels right.

Re: Is Lucic-Baroni cleanest hitter of ball when on? (Wuhan vid v Stosur)

Mirjana's shots are scary when she's on and could definitely be a threat to anyone (yes, including Serena) if she were able to maintain her level throughout a complete match. The problem is she has...
