Re: Which players benefit most from on court coaching?

CSN, Kerber, Wozniacki

I still don't like on-court coaching, though.

Re: WWW Zhuhai Elite Trophy SF: Johanna Konta vs. Elina Svitolina

I think Konta takes this now, but if Elina patiently retrieves everything Konta may falter.

Re: WWW WTA Zhuhai SET 700 Dream SF: [12] ZHANG v [3] KVITOVA

This match will be quite tricky, because the crowd will fuel Zhang Shuai's game. I hope Petra can maintain focus and finish this off in two sets. /crossed fingers

Re: The 2016 Off-Court Photos Thread (Photo Shoots/Parties/Sponsor Events etc.) Vol.

Looks like Karolína Kurková (model). Not sure. Also, I don't know who the woman is in purple.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 104

Finally I am able to see some matches (well, one probably) tonight. Of course, Petra would have a bit of a lapse, but if she can stay focused this should be done in two. Pojd!

To think I was...

Re: Its near the off season but I wonder, what's wrong with this Forum?

Why TF is dying? Hard to say. :)

I haven't found much quality discourse about tennis on the forum in the last couple years. Fan battles, negativity, nastiness, pettiness, and a weird misogyny have...

Re: Singapore F: PEAK Dominika Cibulkova upsets [1] Angelique Kerber, 63 64

Kerber definitely needs a break after this breakout season. That was clear in the final.

But...

is there a print dress that Chris Evert doesn't like? :tape:

Re: Your favourite slam of 2016?

So much rain at RG. I did not enjoy that. Wimbledon was a bit rain blighted too. But in general that is my favorite slam, and it was this year as well. I love the buzz of interest inbetween points,...

Re: Reactions to Cibulkova's win

I was pleased for Aga even if I wanted my Petra to win. Petra was in zombie condition, true, but Aga did everything necessary to get the win so she deserved it.

Re: Koukalova slams Serena and WADA regarding usage of pills

One small point. Cibulkova was criticized by some for her comments on TF. No one gets off scot-free on TF.

Re: Koukalova slams Serena and WADA regarding usage of pills

No they are criticizing her for what she said, comparing apples to oranges. She can talk all she wants, and people have the right to criticize what she says, as well. Serena had to go through the...

Re: Singapore F: PEAK Dominika Cibulkova upsets [1] Angelique Kerber, 63 64

I feel so bad for Torben having to wear that outfit. Angelique is quite emotional.

The flowers are gorgeous.

Re: Singapore F: PEAK Dominika Cibulkova upsets [1] Angelique Kerber, 63 64

Pome! Pome defeats Komm Jetzt!

Unbelievable.

Impressive.

Net cord at the last, just as against Sveta.

I expected more from Angelique, but the match against Dominika earlier in the...

Re: Singapore RR: Radwanska def. Pliskova 7-5 6-3

Work on that H2H, KarPlis!

I would like to see Aga in the final, as I like to see former champions defend the title (so long as I like the player, of course!). I've seen so little of this YEC,...

Re: Singapore RR: Muguruza sent bagel and breadstix to Kuzzy's bakery 3-6,6-0,6-1

I'm sure it meant something to Mugu.

I had to go to bed after the first set, because it was 2 a.m. and because I had a feeling that it might go three. Looks like Sveta sleepwalked...

Re: WTA Finals: Round Robin format must go, use double elimination instead

No. I like the RR format. If only all players could play at the top of their form at the end of the season, though.

Re: Banned TennisForum user took over WTA's Twitter

I don't know what happened on Twitter, but I think that Guardian article is quite fair. The shamelessness of Head, team Meldonium, the WTA, fans who seem to think the ban reduction clears...

Re: Chris Evert: Serena doesn´t have the aura she had before

Haven't we heard this all before? Eh  She's still damned good and played through an injury plagued season with aplomb.

Anyway, Serena is 35 years old. If she isn't as good as she was when...

Re: Singapore RR: [1] Kerber def. [7] Cibulkova 76(5) 26 63

 I can imagine that. Pobrecito!:)

Fortunately, the Australia tournaments work nicely in my time zone. Can't wait.
