Re: What shall we expect from Sharapova in 2018?

She kinda looked like against Rybarikova. For her standards. Not the Kvitova kind of fat or heavy but it made me think "wow".

Re: What shall we expect from Sharapova in 2018?

To me, she looked "fat" agqinst Rybarikova and recently opponents don't seem very impressed with her screaming and bashing.

Halep and Rybarikova exposed that pretty well. I hope she can be back,...

Great to see that a club level player can make the semis of a WTA tournament! :worship:

Re: Hong Kong R2: Cabrera d. Wozniacki walkover

Bring Average Points back and neither of those things will happen anymore. It's as easy as that and only a question of intent from the WTA. As it's not happening, it tells a lot about WTA, too.

Re: HongKong R2: Naomi Osaka d. [2] Venus Williams 7-5 6-2

I am absolutely thrilled. Who would have expected THAT after the shitfest in R1?

Great job today, Naomi!

HK R1 Osaka def. [Q] Guarachi 7-5, 6-4

Wow. Having watched tennis for over 30 years now, I have never seen anyone looking more uninterested and not there than Osaka today.

That tells a lot about her recent losses. It's not her game,...

Re: Welcome Caroline Garcia to top 10.

Too bad she got so "extremely injured" right after her victory in Beijing, she had to withdraw from her next tournament where Pova was waiting for her in R1.

Re: Your Most Ridiculous/Optimistic Predictions for Your Fav In 2018

Optimistic: Greta Arn winning a MM and making a Slam SF. And reaching a new career high at biblical age of 39.

Ridiculous? Do I have to remind you of the entire year 2017? We have seen more...

Re: Congratulations to our new World #1, Simona Halep!

She was impressive this week, especially against Pova. Not a fan at all, but she was like "ok, you can scream and moan as much as you want, I don't give a fuck".

Given her results at the YEC and...

Re: Who will be no.1 after Beijing?

Exactly. Make every tournament count. That will put an end to all those gastro internal things, the bloodpressuritis, the strained whatever and so on. Cut down the points 25% on GS (why is a QF 100%...

Re: Tokyo R1: Real Japanese #1 Kurumi Nara def. Naomi Osaka 6-3 6-0

I always only had 2 ppl in my sig. And as Greta is back :worship: I needed to scratch someone. After Genie lost to Petkovic of all players, it's obvious that there i no hope left. At all.

Re: Does Martina Hingis stand a chance to win Slams in Singles?

Lol. As much as I despise this brat, but exactly today with those players not being able to hit 3 shots over the net, her skills as prime Hingis would slay.

Re: Bouchard withdraws from Quebec while tournament remains $ilent

Helen!

She'd bully the crap out of those girls! She sent Pam Shriver drinking during their match in Quebec so imagine what she would do to today's players.

Re: Helena Sukova Nominated For 2018 HoF Induction

What did she do to be even a prospect?

Shouldn't HoF be for people who have really done sth outstanding? Who's next? Claudia Kohde-Kilsch? *lol*

Re: Will Kerber make a recovery?

No.

She is the one, the word "overachiever" was invented for.

Now she slowly gets back to where she belongs. And will remain. If she doesnt consider retirement.

Re: US Open R1: Osaka df Kerber 63 61

Exactly that one. And she just came back for that very win over her 4th former oder future #1.

I am sure they will meet at some MM next year so that loser can complete the quadruple.
