Re: Rome FINAL 2016: Serena Williams d. Madison Keys 7-6 (7-5), 6-3

It was a good match, had more potential to be even better. Good win for Serena as well.

I first predicted it would be an old school serve vs return of serve kind of match with Serena having the...

Re: ROME FINALS (1) Williams (Usa) VS Keys (Usa)

This is almost an old school match up, the serve vs the return of serve the big factors. Both serve incredibly well, Serena with the edge on the return of serve at this stage.

Muguruza loves...

Re: WWW Rome SF Keys vs Muguruza

I was thinking yesterday that their match up will be similar to Lindsay Davenport v Mary Pierce from the 1990s to 2000s.

Re: Serena: Next#1? Muguruza or Vika!

I think Azarenka is too much of a hardcourt specialist to be a long term number 1. Which is ironic because she has a lot of injuries and hardcourts are very punishing on the body. Azarenka needs to...

Re: What's wrong with Madrid?

What's wrong with Madrid? If you check back to things I have been saying, I have been deeply unimpressed and rubbished this event since 2009 or whenever it began, was 2009 wasn't it?

Now, why...

Re: ROME R2: Genie Bouchard def. (2) Angie Kerber 61 57 75

Just watched a re-run of the match on Supertennis because of the rain delay. Bouchard played well.

Re: Rome R3: Barbie Strycova THRASHES Angie 60uchard 6-1, 6-0

Meanwhile I see no improvement in Bouchard from 2014. Still bad footwork with the ball coming straight at her, does not move her feet to make room for the shot, just tries to muscle the ball for...

Re: Rome R3: Barbie Strycova THRASHES Angie 60uchard 6-1, 6-0

That is the best I have seen Barbora play for some time. I often wonder how good this talented all court player could have been if she was more composed and less frantic.

Re: ROME R2: Genie Bouchard def. (2) Angie Kerber 61 57 75

Thanks for this interesting observation. Supertennis showed a re-run quite late last night so missed it. Will try to catch their next match so I can observe. Perhaps Kerber needs to counteract...

Re: ROME R2: Genie Bouchard def. (2) Angie Kerber 61 57 75

Are you pretending to know nothing about tennis or are you just being ridiculous?

If you check back you will see I said end January that Kerber will have a period where she has to adjust to her...

Re: ROME R2: Genie Bouchard def. (2) Angie Kerber 61 57 75

I didn't see the match.

But I am intrigued, has Angie ever beaten Bouchard in a match? What is it about Bouchard's game that causes Angie so much toruble?

I don't get it.

Re: Miami R2: Angie 'back from vacation' KERBER def STRYCOVA 6-1, 6-1

So Angie is back

But you need a bit of luck when searching for form, and what better way than to have the Master Imploder on the other side of the net ;)

Re: Article: Equal Pay - Why The Fuss?

I don't think as far as I am aware the WTA are attempting to do that, it is mainly the joint tournaments; the four majors and then Indian Wells, Miami etc etc.

Re: St. Petersburg 2R: Vinci def. Wickmayer 6-2 7-6(2)

I haven't seen Wickmayer play for some time. She played some good tennis yesterday but made very poor mistakes at the wrong moments.

Re: Halep will be out of Top 10 before the clay season?

Did you mention Flavia? I would be intrigued for you to mention what you think the definition of a retriever is.

Re: My article: Kerber's Australian Open triumph

Thanks. I know time is not afforded players before criticism sets in, but if we look at Wawrinka and Li Na, it took them quite a while to come to terms with everything and start playing well again. ...
