Re: What to do when a user passes away? (Linnie)

Last week. I don't think she'd posted much recently, but seeing the notices about the data breach got me thinking you might want to know so you could close or suspend the account.

What to do when a user passes away? (Linnie)

Hi friends, I posted about Linnie's passing in the old Mauresmo forum, but is there any kind of protocol to follow if we know a user has died? Both from an account/security standpoint and maybe a...

Re: Site Announcement regarding the Password Change

Hi lovely people - mykarma is having issues. She couldn't get the login to work, and when she created a second account to try to access the board so she could contact the admins, she was flagged for...

Re: Amelie Mauresmo gave birth to a baby boy today!

Not patronizing at all - it would have been very easy for him to drop Amelie and hire a male coach, or even just ignore the stupid shit people have said. I give him all credit for having the balls to...

Re: Rubbish you hear at tournaments.

Years ago watching Alex Stevenson play Emilie Loit at the US Open, a bunch of women sitting in front of me spent the first half of the match yammering about how Alex would "make short work of this...

Re: Jennifer Capriati Arrest Warrant Reportedly Sought

No kidding. Besides, if Cappy was the only player to smoke weed during their playing years (hiatus or no), I'm in line to be the next Pope.

I felt sad reading this. I was never a huge fan, but I...

Re: Peak Mauresmo vs Peak Azarenka

To be fair, Momo was a headcase a LOT of places. She was just more consistent about it at RG

I wouldn't underestimate "peak" Mauresmo on hard courts - if by "peak" we mean "aggressive,...

Re: If Hingis does return, how will she fare against the top players?

I believe she'd be killed and eaten for breakfast. Her last attempt didn't exactly burn up the courts (although I give her credit for trying).

Re: Rennae Stubbs calls it a career.

(would have felt so good for her to win the match because the Italians rolled over?)

From what I've heard she is a great commentator, so I hope she continues with that, but best of luck to her...

Re: Unwell Navratilova abandons charity Kilimanjaro climb

If that was her saturation going in, and she knew it, I would call that not being prepared - although I thought I read some doctor claiming that going in her lungs were perfectly healthy? Was that...

Re: Unwell Navratilova abandons charity Kilimanjaro climb

You don't have to be in the high Himalayas for a rescue situation to become dangerous for everyone involved. Any resources you have to devote to caring for a sick or injured person are resources you...

Re: Unwell Navratilova abandons charity Kilimanjaro climb

Yeah, risk-taking is bad. We should all just stay on the couch. It's dangerous out there!

Glad she got down ok - I give her credit for trying. I also give her credit for realizing it wasn't...

Re: MAJOR investigation needed after Azarenka collapse

Or, she just didn't realize how hard she'd bonked herself

If I were a pro athlete in a non-contact sport, I'd probably be more focused on my elbow and ribs, too.

Re: Lindsay says Carlos has been coaching Justine the whole match

BS. If my employer wanted me to stop breaking xyz rule, or had a problem with how my public behavior reflected on the organization, they'd damn well have the means to make me comply.

The fact...

Re: Lindsay says Carlos has been coaching Justine the whole match

Correct me if I"m wrong, but Carlos works for Justine and not the other way around, yes? If she wanted him to stop breaking the rules - it's not like this is the first time it's come up - it's a...

Re: Article : Serena Being Serena: Partying, Jet-Skiing, Not Playing Tennis

If they did, the tournaments would have fits. Because for all the posturing they do, they pretty much know when publicly announced players have no intention of playing.

How do we know this? We...

Re: No plans for technology to detect foot-faults despite Serena Williams' fine

Only if all calls/points are that close.

Like my friend with the bangs-fixation says, adding another layer of review on what's usually a pretty accurate call seems like micro-management.

Re: Amelie Mauresmo holding a press conference in Paris Thursday

Please don't feed the troll. This thread should be about Amelie.

If she retires tomorrow, we should all raise a glass and toast her career.

If she doesn't, let's all raise a glass and toast...

Re: Amelie Mauresmo holding a press conference in Paris Thursday

I'd love to see her announce a comeback, but mostly I hope whatever course she takes will make her happy.

Re: No plans for technology to detect foot-faults despite Serena Williams' fine

Seriously? "All that's needed is a camera"? People have stared at video of Serena's feet about a billion times and still don't agree on whether or not she faulted. I'm not talking about...

Re: Ads/spyware things

It would be if they have. But even if the ickware originate here, it could just have easily have been supplied by the 3rd-party ad feed

The interwebs, they is complicated.

My guess would be spyware, too - and it certainly can't hurt to run a scan on your computer.

I use Spybot Search and Destroy:
