Re: Disastrous French Open Coverage in the US

Tennis Channel does have live streaming on the TC Everywhere App and website. But it's only for a select group of providers: Directv, Dish, Verizon, Cox and U-Verse. If you have Xfinity, Mediacom,...

Re: Disastrous French Open Coverage in the US

ESPN got tired of being the third wheel behind NBC and Tennis Channel. They were given the earliest slot, didn't get the best matches, and didn't get the good ratings as a result.

And you would...

Re: Halep out for nose surgery

This is the best time in the entire season to have this operation. She recovers from surgery, rests her achilles so that it heals properly, and there will still be a lot of season left to play when...

Re: USO QF : [2] Halep "real n2" Simona denies [20] Viktoria "guest" Azarenka 63 46 6

This is the question all Simona fans do ask. It's this style of play that started her rise. She can play this way since she has enough power and is a clean ball-striker. She's not pusher like Caro or...

Re: USO QF : [2] Halep "real n2" Simona denies [20] Viktoria "guest" Azarenka 63 46 6

Ask the ESPN experts. Or Tennis Channel? Vika had more experience, and apparently a bigger game, while Simona is just consistent. And apparently, she's only as good as her last match.

Re: USO QF : [2] Halep "real n2" Simona denies [20] Viktoria "guest" Azarenka 63 46 6

It's definitely satisfying. All the experts, save for Mats Wilander, were picking Vika.

Re: USO QF : [2] Halep "real n2" Simona denies [20] Viktoria "guest" Azarenka 63 46 6

You mean like your precious Lisicki. Struggling with a supposed knee injury 1-4 down against Barbie, and then reels off the final 6 games like it's nothing. And then apparently cramping in the third...

Trolling big time.

40 winners 19 UEs. Who was pushing again?

Re: Do you see La Borz having another summer renaissance?

I'm thinking no. Her summer season last year was just an aberration, which was unlikely to be repeated, and we've just seen why.

Re: U.S. Open R2: Cetkovska def. (4) Wozniacki 6-4 5-7 7-6 (7-1)

Technically, Petra took back #4 after winning NH last week.

Re: U.S. Open R2: Cetkovska def. (4) Wozniacki 6-4 5-7 7-6 (7-1)

Another epic slam fail for Woz. That USO final run last year was simply an aberration, and not a start of a revitalized Caroline. The proof is in the results.

Petra could have wilted after blowing...

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 86

Pliskova obviously hasn't picked up her level. Down 6-2 3-0. And people said she was tanking last week. At least she won the USO series.

Re: US Open R1 Lauren Davis survives Heather Watson 7-6(3) 7-6(0)

Now I don't have to hear the commentators constantly talking about Heather being a star after he close loss to Serena at Wimbledon.

Re: US Open R1 Lauren Davis survives Heather Watson 7-6(3) 7-6(0)

Well, it's not zero success. She does have 2 MM titles. But in terms of progressing at big events and being a consistent player, she has failed miserably.

Re: What happened to free live streaming on US Open site?

My sentiments exactly. ESPN took over, and has become lazy and rely too much on ESPN3. The usopen.org live stream, which provided match stats, has been hijacked by ESPN.

The fact that the first 2...

Yay Lauren!!! Now, I don't have to keep hearing commentators keep bringing up Hev's close loss to Serena every 5 minutes.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 86

Lauren has a lot more power than you'd expect. She crushed that FH.

Re: New Haven Q/F-Tsurenkos Grand LL (Tank) Masterplan - Defeats Pliskova 6-2 6-2

:lol: Uh, no. Simona had originally planned to play just Cincy and NH. Then she took the WC to Toronto, and she wound up making back-to-back finals. And that left no reason to play NH anymore.

Re: Analysis: What is the difference between Bouchard 2014 and Bouchard 2015?

I highly doubt a stomach muscle tear has been the constant reason for her pitiful errors all this season. It's the same thing every match. She's constantly going for impossible winners instead of...

Re: Analysis: What is the difference between Bouchard 2014 and Bouchard 2015?

Bottomline is opponents have gotten more accustomed to her game, and they're consistently exploiting the weaknesses that were evident last year, but glossed over because of her GS results. But now,...

Re: 2015 USO Main Draw

Sharapova, at the USO, on a faster HC, having not played in over a month. I don't see her even sniffing the SF here. Since winning the USO in 2006, she's only made it past the 4R once. And her game...
