Re: AO R3: Serena Williams EVISCERATES Kasatkina 6-1 6-1

When a tennis player pull out a good performance, it's a positive sight. Especially when that player is a 34 yo woman. That indicates the improvement in tennis quality and that push the rest of the...

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 93

Yikes. 1 set all. Gavrilova takes another bathroom break. I fear for the Aussies. Is Gavrilova the last "Aussie" alive?

Re: AO R3: Serena Williams EVISCERATES Kasatkina 6-1 6-1

Serena has always been playing with more focus vs the players who beat Venus earlier. What a performance of fierce/ lazer like tennis. Well done. Keep it up Serena.

Kasatkina has introduced...

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 92

Puig has some skills, good serve, good angles, yet she is slow and doesn't play smartly on big points. That could well cost her the match unless some miracle happens

Re: Australian Open R2: (Q) Shuai 'Serena' Zhang d. Alize Cornet 6-3 6-3

You kept repeating that like Cornet was dropping a stinker while it wasn't the case. If it was a bad day then Cornet had " bad days" all year last year that saw her ranking dropped from the low 20s...

Re: WWW AO R3 Serena Williams vs Kasatkina?

Serena hasn't been in her best shape or form comparing to her 12/13, but she won 3 Slams last year playing way below her best level, so I hope she can summon her desire for this Slam.

One...

Re: Australian Open R2: (Q) Shuai 'Serena' Zhang d. Alize Cornet 6-3 6-3

Congrats Serena for excellent first 2 rounds, beating the N2 player and the Hobart winner! Good for her that she didn't lose focus and having a let down after scoring the biggest upset of this...

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 92

Guido Pella looks so fine , No wonder the camera zoom on him more than on Lopez.

Chinese crowd tried to emulate the Halep's Romanians. What was they chanting; Zhang Shuai! then ? ?

It takes forever for them to dry the court. And maybe it will rain again. Not sure if the match can be finished tonight

Re: Brisbane 1/4: Crawford bulldozes Petkovic 63 60

Good sign there are some promising young players coming up and challenge top players when the old names retire. I'm really looking forward to see how those Crawfords, Kasatkinas, Ostapenkos fare at...

Re: Serena Williams : AP Female Athlete of Year for 4th time

The " She won the Award because she is American" is just plain dumb and having no foundation.

Is Usain Bolt American? No, he is Jamaican. So he is not American, why would he won the award, if...

Re: Andy Roddick: Why Serena Williams should win SI's Sportsman of the Year

Comparing results such as tier 1, tier 2 to the all time greats are only relevant if they are in the same age, otherwise it sounds purely ignorant. Like I said, the deciding factor that goes for...

Re: Andy Roddick: Why Serena Williams should win SI's Sportsman of the Year

The article doesn't say she should win b/c she is a woman. Djoko dominates the men's field, winning 3/4 Slams. Serena dominates the women's field, winning 3/4 Slams. Novak is 28, peak physical and...
