Re: Gail Falkenberg to play 2017 season

Re: $125k Limoges: Vikhlyantseva def. (WC)Stevenson 2-6, 7-5, 6-4

Early candidate for match of the year 2016-17!

Peak Lexy. But still couldn't win. And capped it off with the classic fake-out non-handshake for the chair...

Re: WTA Finals: Round Robin format must go, use double elimination instead

Maybe in Europe?

The women's college world series (softball), which uses the double elimination format, gets better US ratings for ESPN these days than the US Open much less the WTA finals.

Re: Maiden WTA title for Dodin as she defeats Davis 64 63

Dodin is really learning how to play tennis. This might be more surprising than Puig winning the Olympics.

Re: do we have correlation between TF's most hated players (Bellis, Oudin, Woz, Bouch

The difference is that the players highlighted in this thread actually have fans (in the real world) so tennisforum posters feel some need to compensate.

Hardly anyone in real life or on...

Re: WADA website hack

She is also the reigning WNBA MVP (and a long time sufferer of Lyme disease, so her having TUEs isn't remotely surprising).

Surely the choices here are all to do with notoriety...not guessing...

Re: US Open doubles final entry list

I found it surprising that they were even the alternate, like it must've meant no one else applied.

28 year olds who can't even crack the top 150 in doubles aren't going to get wildcards from the...

Re: USO QR1 Townsend d. Kulichkova 6-4 6-4

Unless I'm missing something, I don't see that she played a single point in WTT this season. Here are the full season stats: Welcome to WTT (

Re: New US OPEN website! Thoughts?

These matches between "No Bio Photo" and "No Bio Photo" are really fascinating. Right up there with Bye vs Bye.

Though it's kind of sad that they can't even supply a photo for a player that...

Re: New US OPEN website! Thoughts?

Horrible. And yet still easily the best of the 4 slams.

Re: Rio Olympics Gold Medal Match: Monica Puig def (2) Angelique Kerber 6-4 4-6 6-1

Well said. Wiping away a few tears here and I'm not even really a Puig fan.

Amazing moment for her and her country.

Re: Gabriella Taylor suspected of having been poisoned during Wimbledon Junior tourna

If she indeed got leptospirosis, the article is kind of misleading. That bacteria has a long time before symptoms typically present, a week or so IIRC, so it's not like she could have been poisoned...

Re: Stockton 50K R2 Ar.Rodionova ousts Gibbs 7-6 7-6

Watched a bit, well as much as I could take of this "slugfest" between similar-style underpowered baseliners.

Gibbs is clearly not in top form but Rodionova played probably the best I've ever...

Re: Wimbledon R1: Sexa Schiavone def. Nastja Sevastova 7-6(7) 6-4

She fought really hard for this one. So many of the young girls on tour could take a note or seven.

Re: Wimbledon R1: Erakovic saves 1MP df. Falconi 4-6 6-3 10-8

Kind of surprised when Irina loses a match with this type of scoreline but it's a good sign that she must be back at or near 100% if she was this competitive with Marina.

Shame on Wimbledon for...

Re: Baton Rouge 25K R2 Solovyeva d. CiCi Bellis 7-6 6-7 6-3

Tough draw and a big turnaround after Cici routined Lera in the final of last week's US 25k.

Hope Cici is okay - it seems she led 3-0 *40-15 in the 3rd, then lost 24 of the next 26 points...

Re: Why is Flipkens in today's Eastbourne OOP?

This is how they always schedule when matches can be delayed a day.

If Flipkens loses today in Mallorca, the match will be rescheduled for tomorrow. If she wins, an alternate will replace her and...

Re: Kickstarter for new tennis magazine Racquet: *Goal Reached*

I'm kind of scared for them if they really expect people to pay $15 per issue or $12.50 per issue to subscribe for the whole year (4 issues)?

Re: Wimbledon doubles entry list

Thanks Spiceboy :)

I can't imagine they'll come up with 5 more wildcards, so Hibino will surely get in along with several other next in teams most likely.
