Re: Beijing R3: (5) Garbiñe Muguruza def. Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 1-6 6-2 6-1

Wasn't exactly a fightback. It was the 2 Lucic-Baronis out there. The first one who plays the kind of tennis a top 5 player would be proud of and then the second one who couldn't win a qualifier for...

Re: Tokyo R1: Cibulkova def. Lucic-Baroni 64 10 ret.

and in all of those matches she was having treatment before retirement. She's 33, has had shoulder problems for years, she doesn't move that well and hits the ball as hard as anyone so she's bound to...

Re: Tokyo 280MM R2: Magda Linette def [2] Zarina Diyas 6-2, 7-5

She drew Flavia Pennetta in the first round at Wimbledon. I wouldn't call that "easy".

Re: 25k Monterrey R1: Chieh-Yu Hsu def. (Q)Laura Robson 06 60 64

Sad really. Laura blew a lead once again. After going 1-3 down in the final set she won 3 in a row to go 4-3, breaking twice to be a break up and then capitulated once again.

Re: WWW: R1 15k Petange: Antis Van Cauter (FRA) vs Aravane Rezai (FRA)

Aravane won 7-6 6-0 . First set was poor. She lost 3 of her first 4 service games to go 3-5 down and each service game after that went to deuce but she wasn't broken again

Re: US Open R3: Varvara Lepchenko d. Mona Barthel 1-6, 6-3, 6-4!

Mona won more points in that final set and lost it 6-4

Re: US Open R2 'Battle of America' Madison Brengle def (Q) Anna Tatishvili 6-3 6-2

I thought the match with Venus at Wimbledon would destroy her mentally but she has taken the chance, with the good draw, well here

Re: US Open R1 Lauren Davis survives Heather Watson 7-6(3) 7-6(0)

Heather gets such kind draws in every tournament she plays and rarely seems to take advantage. Not drawn a single top 30 player in the first match of any tournament since last September and still she...

Re: WTA prizes inflation: Halep surpass Evert in career earnings

You can't compare earnings from 1975 to 2015. You could buy a small apartment in North London for £5000 in 1975. These days, £5000 would barely pay for 2 months rent of the same apartment.

Re: New Haven QR1: L. Robson def. A Graham 6-3 2-6 6-3

from 6-2 5-2 as well. Lost 4 games in a row and then McHale threw 2 double faults in to let her break back. She had 4-3 and serving in the tie break too. A disappointing result considering the lead...

Re: All of Grafs, serena's and venus' title on Grass are at Wimby.

Probably because the sisters don't play play between the French and Wimbledon (other than in 2011 when they had both been out for several months and turned up at Eastbourne for practice). Graf did...

Re: The Real Reason Serena Is Only The #1 ON Court Earner And Not Off-Court Too...

Imagine if Kournikova was white and blond. She'd have got so many endorsements too without even ever winning a title...oh hang on.....

Re: Do you think it fair to let Lucky Loser had a BYE in R1 ?

Is it fair that the world number 11 draws the world number 12 in the first round ? Nothing is fair. It's about the luck of the draw which sometimes results from a very late withdrawal of a top player...

Re: Toronto R1: [Q] Hurricane Hev Watson destroys [Q] Falconi 6-1 6-2

Despite being very fortunate with first round draws (hasn't drawn a top 30 player in her first match in any tournament in 11 months), these are 11 of Heather's losses since Montreal last year. I...

Re: Stanford R1 I Can't believe I won a match Lepchenko def. Lucic 36 62 76(4)

Typical Lucic. No break points against her in the final set until she steps up to serve for the match and down come 3 double faults and the re-break. Good luck to Varvara in the next round

Re: How many GS titles should Masha have won if Serena wasn't a tennis player?

If Li Na, Henin, Azarenka, Ivanovic, Mauresmo, Wozniacki, Venus and Safina weren't players she might have won even more oh hang on I forgot Kirilenko, Kerber, Pennetta, Cibulkova, Radwanska, Lisicki,...

Re: Washington R1 Chirico destroys Watson 6-3 6-0

Heather seems to get good first round draws at just about every tournament. Her R1 at Wimbledon v Garcia is the only top 40 first round draw she's had in almost a year so maybe she can't motivate...

Re: Hingis vs. Henin? Who has had a better overall career?

Not only this but also Graf didn't even play at Wimbledon and the US open in 97.

Re: Masha believes her losing streak to Serena will end one day

She would need to drop out of the top 20 first as Serena is only vulnerable in early rounds and when you're ranked in the top 4, you'll only play her in the semis or the final.
