Re: Italian (I mean US) Open final: Flavia Pennetta v. Roberta Vinci

The reason people say Flavia is more accomplished is that she has a better record against top players in singles. Flavia has won a doubles slam also btw ;)

I think this is a 50/50 match. It won't...

Re: The younger women under age 25 huge disappointment

Mastering the craft of tennis takes years to master. It takes many years to build the physical strength to compete at this level and gain the experience to handle the pressures of being a...

Re: Stanford QF: (8)Petkovic def Venus "Sjogrens Day" Williams 61 36 75

So you're complaining about draws being "rigged" but you are happy to have draws rigged to have Serena and Venus in separate halves. :tape:

Venus was pretty flat today. She hasn't been able to...

Re: Radwanska not mentally tough enough to win big titles or a slam.

I wouldn't call Pennetta a grinder or a power player. Pennetta suffers the same fate as Aga against the bigger hitters. She can't beat them when they are on.

Re: Radwanska not mentally tough enough to win big titles or a slam.

Keep telling yourself that. :oh: She played Miami the next week. It couldn't have been that bad. Was Aga injured in Dubai also? :tape:

The problem with Aga is that when the power players are on,...

Re: Charleston QF: Cepelova obliderates Hantuchova 6-2, 6-1

I enjoyed this match. Jana was really impressive. She was patient and hit some great shots. This is the first time I've seen her play and really enjoyed her game.

Dani played reasonable. Just made...

Re: Monterrey r1: Date-Krumm d. Pennetta 7-5 6-2

It was straight sets in Doha too :oh: The better player doesn't always win. Flavia has beaten most of the top 10 before. She isn't better than them but does have the game to beat top players.

Re: AO Website disses Sabine Lisicki

Hitting winners is overrated. Why take unnecessary risks when your opponent has no brains to construct a point? Niculescu was the better player on the day and deserved to win.

Lisicki has a huge...

Re: AO R1: (28) Pennetta def. Cadantu 6-0 6-2

Went to the match. Flavia was awesome today. Her forehand was crazy good today. It set up all her plays and she hit many great winners off it. The wrist didn't seen to bother her!

Cadantu was a...

Re: Official Australian Open MD Day 1 Schedule

Well I am happy about Venus and Makarova getting shafted to MCA because having a ground pass means I can watch it live!

Re: Perth (Hopman Cup) E. Bouchard def. S. AUSTosur 4-6 6-2 6-3

This wasn't a disastrous choke becasue Sam was playing in Australia. The reason Sam lost this match was because of her horrible backhand.

Re: Have you seen any 'boring' players live?

I saw a few games of Camille Pin vs Mariana Diaz Oliva at the Aus Open quite a while ago. I was there for a Camille Pin ace watch.

Re: Venus vs Justine

Venus is greater  Venus has played in 15 grand slam finals (most of her loses coming to one of the greatest players ever Serena) and has won a dozen doubles slams. It's not even close.

Re: Doping in the WTA (no accusations without proof)

I remember many incidences of cramping in the late 90s. I rarely see any cramping these days. The lack of cramping these days makes be believe there is some form of doping involved in tennis.

Re: Double Standards: Why do people say Serena's dominance is boring but not Nadal's?

I am sick and tired of people claiming racism or sexism when somebody makes a negative comment about a person of a race or a women. Have you considered that people don't like Serena because she is...

Re: Båstad SF Johanna Larsson def Flavia Penetta 2-6 6-3 6-4

Flavia lucky that her three opponents played worse than she did this week :tape:

She should retire if she continues to be an UE machine. She isn't going to get as lucky as she did this week in the...

Re: Serena thinks Robson should achieve "better" than top 10

Was Rena talking about top 10 players or top 10 sluts?? Robson has already achieved the latter.

Re: Peak ClayRENA vs. Justine on clay

Using that logic, Jill Craybas beat Serena at Wimbledon on grass in straight sets. Therefore Jill will routine Maria Sharapova on grass since Serena whipped Sharapova 6-0, 6-1 on grass. Heck with...

Re: RG R3: Schiavone def. Bartoli 6-2 6-1

 She was pumping herself up throughout the match. Fransexa never let her into the match.

Fransexa rolling back the years in this match :worship: Those defensive lob winners
